Palesa joined Bespoke in 2017 as an intern, as part of the ASISA IFA Internship Programme. In 2018 she graduated from the internship programme and joined the Bespoke Team as a Paraplanner.
Palesa’s interest in the power of money started at age 7, after earning her first R1. She had to save to buy herself a bar of chocolate. It became clear to her that the people who understand the monetary and banking system are capable of understanding the decisions made by the government for the future of the country.
Born in 1993, Palesa grew up in Potchefstroom. She matriculated from Potchefstroom High School for Girls and then qualified with a B.Com Finance degree at the University of Johannesburg. She is currently also taking a Post-Graduate diploma in Accounting Sciences at the University of Johannesburg.
“I wanted to work for a company that has a strong leadership and vision like Bespoke,” Palesa said.
One of her favourite quotes is from a Steven R Covey book:
"The habit of saving is itself an education; it fosters every virtue, teaches self-denial, cultivates the sense of order, trains to forethought and so broadens the mind."
